Dog airline carrierAIR EURO “ Lunch & Dinner - Black
The EURO is the largest "AIR" – and it's intentionally so: 55 cm interior length, exactly the maximum dimensions that Lufthansa, Eurowings, and other European airlines specify for cabin bags, and not a centimeter more. For larger small dogs, this means plenty of room to stretch out without the bag becoming a point of contention at the gate. It's hand-sewn by us in Hamburg. meets the requirements of most airlines And in black, it's so discreet that it passes for a regular bag after the flight. The large mesh compartment can be completely closed, as required by airlines; after the flight, you take it out, fold down the side panels, and the carry-on bag becomes a basket in your hotel room.
Three details that matter in everyday travel: an internal hook for securing it to a harness, a side pocket for pet ID and small items, and on the opposite side a tab and strap for attaching it to a rolling suitcase – so you have both hands free at the gate. Five rubber feet on the bottom ensure a secure grip, even on wet airport floors.
Will your dog fit inside?
The EURO is the largest "AIR" carrier: 55 cm interior length, seven centimeters more than the XL-LONG – and it meets the maximum dimensions specified by airlines like Lufthansa and Eurowings for cabin bags. This makes it suitable for larger small dogs up to approximately 8 kg, including the combined weight of the dog and carrier, as is the case with most airlines. It often appears larger than expected – the crucial factor is your dog's lying length, not its weight.
Here's how to check in one minute: Measure your dog from nose to rear end while he's curled up or lying on his side. If he lies comfortably in 48 cm, the XL-LONG is sufficient; if he needs more, the EURO is right. Tall or long-legged dogs – Italian Greyhounds, Toy Poodles – get 12 cm more headroom with the raised mesh, allowing them to stand up and turn around inside the closed bag.

For which airlines and for whom
The Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian, SWISS), Eurowings, and Condor all specify the same maximum dimensions for pets in the cabin: 55 × 40 × 23 cm, a maximum weight of 8 kg for the dog and carrier combined, and the dog must be able to lie down and turn around in the closed carrier. All AIR carrier sizes are built to these dimensions – the EURO fully meets them, while L, XL, and XL-LONG remain below them. TUIfly specifies 55 × 40 × 20 cm, with AIR's 23 cm being three centimeters larger. KLM and Air France (46 × 28 × 24 cm) are too small for AIR. Ultimately, the ground staff decides whether a carrier is allowed on the day of the flight – AIR meets the requirements of most airlines, No airline actually grants a license in the true sense of the word.
